With third baseman Matt Reidy leading the charge, the Newark Flyers defeated the Glace Bay Miners, 8-7, at Newark Fields. Reidy, who is tied for 10th in the N-A in stolen bases with 8, slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5. The Northern A East Division-leading Flyers have a record of 37-19.
The Flyers got a clutch hit from first baseman John Mahoney. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Flyers.
