Kreisle Blasts 3 Home Runs in 8-5 Stallions Win
|
No one was more impactful than Josh Kreisle in the 8-5 San Antonio win over St. Catharines. Kreisle slugged 3 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored three times. San Antonio reliever Brandon Dix picked up the win to move to 2-2. Mario Hernandez suffered the loss. Picking up the save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher John Schwartz.
In the bottom of the eighth, the Stallions grabbed the lead when Kreisle hit his 5th home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Mario Hernandez made it 8-5, San Antonio.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Logan Greening said.
With the victory, the Stallions upped their record to 31-24.
