Martz Powers Desperados to 9-4 Win
|
The Santa Rosa Desperados downed the Fremont Ambassadors, 9-4, at Keelhaulers Ballpark. Bill Martz led the way, going 3-for-3 for Santa Rosa. Santa Rosa, at 32-21, sits in third place in the Northern A East Division.
With Santa Rosa leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Martz hit a 2-run home run off Fremont hurler Jim Unknown. It was the 9th home run of the season for Martz and put his team ahead, 3-0.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Martz told the Santa Rosa Daily.
