Big Day for Schnupp in 11-9 Flyers Win
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Newark Flyers and Kansas City Dust Devils came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

A good performance from first baseman Tim Schnupp helped the Newark Flyers defeat the Kansas City Dust Devils, 11-9. Schnupp went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for the Flyers. The winning pitcher was Nick Compean. His record now stands at 4-4. The right-hander went 5.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits for the Flyers. Dustin Miller, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save.

With Newark leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Schnupp hit a fastball from Jose Gomez for a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Flyers ahead, 4-0.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Schnupp.

The setback makes Kansas City 26-25.
