Jet Hawks Rally Late to Nip Blue Jays
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks and St. Catharines Blue Jays.

Thanks in large part to left fielder Ty Latham, the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks beat the St. Catharines Blue Jays, 4-3. Latham was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Marc Stephan, now 4-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4 innings.

John Anderson, who leads the N-A in runs scored with 39, helped out the Grand Rapids cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop went 1-5.

"Bottom line," said St. Catharines skipper Walt DeRosier, "we didn't play well enough to win."

The Jet Hawks have an impressive 32-19 record.
