The Santa Rosa Desperados spoiled a good performance by San Antonio catcher Brian Maughan, bumping off San Antonio, 7-6, at Keelhaulers Ballpark. Maughan was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The winner was Tatsuya Oshima in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Duncan Kroon took the loss. Their 30-19 record puts the Desperados third in the Northern A East Division.

Rich Hebert was the walk-off hero for Santa Rosa. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Desperados third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"They had a good approach," San Antonio skipper Will Brewer said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."
