Flyers Squelch Desperados Offense in Shutout Win
The Newark Flyers went home winners at Keelhaulers Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter John Huber. Huber stifled the Santa Rosa Desperados, enabling Newark to grab the 5-0 win. After today's action, Newark sits at 20-29; Santa Rosa slips to 20-29.

Newark used a clutch at-bat from Matthew Bridges to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Flyers ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"John was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Newark manager Matt Conners.
