The Newark Flyers wanted a good start from Fabian Ruiz -- and he delivered one. The result was a 4-2 Newark win over the San Antonio Stallions at Newark Fields. The Flyers lead the Northern A East Division by 3 games.

Third Baseman Alex Ochoa made an impact for Newark, when he swatted a 2-run home run off Gil Backos in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Ochoa went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
