In a tight contest between the Glace Bay Miners and the Santa Rosa Desperados, Dan Thomas was the determining factor. The Glace Bay right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. Steve Oswald recorded the save, his 10th. The Miners are now 25-20.
Rafael Landim, who is tied for 3rd in the N-A in triples with 3, had a direct impact on the outcome. Landim contributed a 2-run triple in the top of the sixth inning to put Glace Bay up, 3-0.
