Shipley Hits 2 home runs in Blue Jays Win
Not everyone stuck through the 30-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

Jack Shipley powered the St. Catharines Blue Jays to a win over the Kansas City Dust Devils. The final score was 9-7. The St. Catharines right fielder, who is tied for 3rd in the N-A with a .932 OPS, was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 3 extra-base hits, including 2 home runs and 1 double. Antonio Villareal sewed up the save, his 3rd.

Shipley contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for St. Catharines in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-3, Shipley took a slider from Ruben Vargas and stroked the home run to right. His 10th home run of the season allowed the Blue Jays to leap in front, 5-4.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Shipley.

The Blue Jays improved their record to 25-21 with the win over Kansas City.
