Late Offense Lifts Newark to 8-6 Victory
Getting offensive support from Brad Folsy, the Newark Flyers topped the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, 8-6. Folsy was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Flyers. Bill Samples, 4-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 innings. Newark is third in the Northern A East Division with a record of 30-16.

Newark used the clutch hitting of Seth Flores to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Flyers ahead, 7-6. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.
