The Newark Flyers went down to defeat to Matt Lofstrom and his St. Catharines teammates. The final score was 7-1, in favor of the Blue Jays. The first-place Blue Jays hiked their record to 31-16.

St. Catharines got a lift in the bottom of the first from second baseman Justin Phelps, who hit a cutter to right-center for a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Blue Jays up, 2-0.
