Desperados Win, 3-0, at St. Catharines

The Santa Rosa Desperados got a magnificent performance from pitcher Randy Fischer, who muffled the St. Catharines offense en route to a tight, 3-0 Desperados win at Engineers Ballpark. John Salgado picked up the save for Santa Rosa, his 2nd of the year. With the win, the Desperados hiked their record to 27-17.
The Desperados got a big at-bat from right fielder Gary Nahum. For the game, Nahum was 1-4 with a home run. In the top of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Santa Rosa a 1-0 lead.
Afterward, Desperados manager Justin Watts said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."
