St. Catharines and Grand Rapids duked it out and the Blue Jays came out victorious.

The Grand Rapids Jet Hawks got a sterling performance from pitcher Gregorio Argueta, but the St. Catharines Blue Jays still prevailed, 6-4. Argueta threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. The winner in relief was Joe Cohen. He is now 4-1. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 1.1 innings. Picking up the save was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Chris Payton.

The Blue Jays got a big at-bat from third baseman Nick Makar. For the game, Makar went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season gave St. Catharines a 3-1 lead.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Makar told the St. Catharines Chronicle.

St. Catharines goes to 18-26, Grand Rapids to 37-7.
