Daniels Slugs Miners to 4-2 Win
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 21-year old catcher J.R. Daniels, the Glace Bay Miners stopped the San Antonio Stallions, 4-2, in 9 innings. Steve Oswald earned save number 7 this season. The Miners improved their record to 22-17 by beating San Antonio.

Daniels contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Glace Bay in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Daniels took a curveball from Stephon Diallo and stroked the home run to right-center. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Miners to leap in front, 3-1.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Daniels said after the game.
