Stallions Suffer 3-1 Road Loss
|
The Huntsville Rockets got a magnificent performance from pitcher Jimmy Redmond, who muffled the San Antonio offense en route to a tight, 3-1 Rockets win at Ballpark of Austin. The winning pitcher was Redmond, now 4-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 7. The victory gives Huntsville a record of 20-16.
Curtis Rittenberry, who leads the N-A in RBI with 35, took San Antonio hurler Mike Maschke deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Rockets on top, 3-0. In all, Rittenberry had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Redmond.
