Ambassadors Fall, 7-0, to Soto, Capitals

The 4-hit performance of Rafael Soto helped the Tampa Capitals beat the Fremont Ambassadors, 7-0. Tampa starter Scott Reynolds was credited with the win after throwing 71 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 4-3. Alex Gonzalez earned the save for Tampa.
Tampa used a clutch at-bat from Jeff Bernard to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Capitals ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Said losing manager John McNair: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
The Capitals saw their win-loss record go to 17-19. At the same time, the Ambassadors fell to 13-23.
