Jet Hawks Lose at Home, 4-2
|
The Santa Rosa Desperados locked up a win at Jet Hawks Ballpark, knocking off the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, 4-2. On the mound for Santa Rosa was right-hander Justin Hesley. He played a major role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was Hesley, now 7-0. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 8. John Salgado earned the save, his 4th, for the Desperados.
Santa Rosa used the hitting of Jason Finch to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Desperados on top, 4-0. For the game, Finch had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We're in some kind of groove right now," said Finch.
Santa Rosa is now 32-5, 8 games up in the Northern A East Division.
