The Santa Rosa Desperados beat the San Antonio Stallions, 10-5, at Keelhaulers Ballpark. Bill Martz, in particular, was impressive. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Justin Hesley, the winning pitcher, is now 4-1. He went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 2. Nelson Campodonico finished the game for Santa Rosa and earned his 2nd save.

With Santa Rosa leading 6-3 in the bottom of the fifth, Martz batted against San Antonio pitcher Gary Day. Martz hit a slider to right for a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Desperados on top, 9-3.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Santa Rosa manager Justin Watts.

Santa Rosa is now 20-13.
