A 5-RBI performance from catcher Wally Bodin, who is tied for 6th in the N-A with a .337 batting average, led the St. Catharines Blue Jays to a win over the Santa Rosa Desperados, 11-0. David Tirado got the win, improving to 2-2. He held the Desperados to no runs on 4 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 2. The Blue Jays, at 17-13, lead by one game in their division.

Mike Odendahl had a big grand slam home run for the Blue Jays in the top of the second inning. With St. Catharines leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a changeup from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Omar Valentin and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the Blue Jays on top, 6-0.

Santa Rosa manager Carlos Acevedo said "nothing went right"in the blowout loss.
