Foote 3-for-4, Leads Miners to Win
No one was more impactful than Jim Foote in the 6-5 Glace Bay win over Santa Rosa. Foote went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Glace Bay reliever Matt Westerman was credited with the win. His record goes to 2-0. Chris Erickson took the loss for Santa Rosa. With the win, Glace Bay upped its record to 20-11.

Had Foote not come through in the bottom of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Foote hit a 2-run home run. The Miners took the lead, 6-5, and never looked back.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Foote said.
