Flyers Walk It Off for 19th Win of Season
Newark turned a good effort from starter Kyle Sandor into a win over the Cottage City Cannonballers at Newark Fields. The final score was 5-2. The Flyers, now 19-8, have been on fire in the early going.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Jim Spiegel in the bottom of the ninth. That's when he hit a 3-run home run off 18-year old left-handed pitcher Loeck Krijgsman to win it for Newark and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

Newark manager Matt Conners called it "a darn good win."
