Gruber Lifts Jet Hawks to 11-5 Win
The Grand Rapids Jet Hawks powered past the Santa Rosa Desperados, 11-5, at Jet Hawks Ballpark. Rick Gruber provided some of the pop. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Now 11-16, the Desperados have gotten off to a poor start.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Jet Hawks grabbed the lead when Gruber hit his 5th home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Erik Willis made it 6-3, Grand Rapids.

"It was our day today," Gruber told the Grand Rapids Gazette. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
