Loss to Flyers Extends Kansas City Losing Streak
Wet weather did not postpone the Newark-Kansas City ballgame.

In a high-scoring contest between Newark and Kansas City, designated hitter Omar Gatica was a difference-maker. Gatica, who is tied for 8th in the N-A with a .456 on-base percentage, distinguished himself in the 12-8 Newark win. He went 1 for 2 with 3 walks. He scored 3 runs. Jesse Eves closed out the game, earning his 1st save.

Chris Huseman, who is tied for 9th in the N-A in extra base hits with 13, chipped in a 3-run home run for Newark in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 6 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 runs batted in.
