The home crowd had a good time watching the Tampa Capitals and Newark Flyers get after it.

Tampa had no answer for Newark Flyers hurler Kyle Sandor, who overwhelmed Capitals hitters as the Flyers coasted to victory, 8-0. In 5.1 innings, Sandor surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 3. He allowed no runs.

Alex Ochoa, the 15th overall pick in the 2020 draft, contributed to the Newark win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
