The Tampa Capitals picked up a win at Newark Fields, taking down the Newark Flyers, 6-1. Starting pitcher Andy Espindola was a big reason why. Espindola, who is tied for 5th in the N-A in strikeouts with 32, went the distance for Tampa. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. With the loss, Newark drops to 13-13.

Tampa used a well-timed hit by Andre Howard to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Capitals ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.

"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling Howard.
