Santa Rosa 4-2 Losers to Jet Hawks
|
Jet Hawks first baseman Ben Porter put his stamp on his team's 4-2 win over the Santa Rosa Desperados. Porter went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk for Grand Rapids in the contest. The win has Grand Rapids at 17-9.
The Jet Hawks got a big at-bat from catcher John Bresette. For the game, Bresette went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Grand Rapids a 3-1 lead.
In postgame comments to the Grand Rapids Chronicle, Bresette said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
