Cannonballers Score Late to Beat Stallions, 12-11
The Cottage City Cannonballers and San Antonio Stallions rewarded fans hoping for a nail-biter.

The Cottage City Cannonballers withstood an impressive performance by San Antonio center fielder Julio Pacheco to defeat the Stallions, 12-11, at Cannonballers Ballpark. Pacheco went 5-5 with a home run, a double, and 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. San Antonio, at 9-15, are off to an ugly start.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Cottage City. That's when 23-year old center fielder Edwin Martinez hit a solo home run off Kevin McGaha to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Martinez. "It sure beats the alternative."
