Collins Excels, But Jet Hawks Win
The Grand Rapids Jet Hawks outlasted Brian Collins and the Huntsville Rockets, 9-8. Collins was impressive in the loss. The Huntsville designated hitter went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Trevor Hill picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Luke Walley suffered the loss. The loss drops Huntsville to 11-11.

Grand Rapids took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, Gabriel Romo hit a run-scoring single to make it 9-8, Jet Hawks.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Romo said in reaction to the win.
