San Antonio Stallions starter Mike Maschke kept the St. Catharines Blue Jays hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 7-2 win. The winner was Maschke. He threw 8.1 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Scott Staffieri. St. Catharines now has a record of 11-10.

San Antonio used the stroke of Willie Trevino to get the win. The third baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Stallions ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Maschke after the game.
