St. Catharines Dealt 6-2 Defeat

Behind the bravura of shortstop Jeff Matchette, the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks topped the St. Catharines Blue Jays by the score of 6-2. Matchette went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs for the Jet Hawks. Eddie Clickner closed the door for Grand Rapids, picking up his 6th save of the year. St. Catharines now has a record of 10-8.
The Jet Hawks benefited from an error in the top of the third inning. Grand Rapids was leading 1-0 when Tyler Renfro hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Grand Rapids in front, 2-0.
