Jeff DeLong was a major factor in the 8-6 Glace Bay win over Cottage City. The Miners catcher was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Glace Bay pitcher Bob Munoz got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Rodrigo Rodriguez got the loss. Picking up the save was Steve Oswald, his 3rd.

With the game tied, 2-2, in the top of the fifth, DeLong had a key at-bat for Glace Bay. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, DeLong hit a 2-run single off Rodrigo Rodriguez, making the score 4-2, Miners.
