With Late Score, Miners Beat Blue Jays
In a tight contest between the Glace Bay Miners and the St. Catharines Blue Jays, Omar Valentin was the determining factor. The Glace Bay right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. The loss drops St. Catharines to 7-11.

The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the ninth when Craig Carson hit a solo home run off 22-year old left-handed pitcher Jonathan Bell to win the game for Glace Bay. The home crowd went wild.
