The Grand Rapids Jet Hawks downed the Deltaville Deltas, 2-1, at Jet Hawks Ballpark. Stellar pitching by Ben Wiggins had a lot to do with it. The left-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. Picking up the save was Eddie Clickner, his 5th. With the win, Grand Rapids climbs to 8-9.

Grand Rapids took a 2-1 lead on Mike Hedger's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Hedger hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Deltaville pitcher Jim Unknown visibly frustrated.

Hedger called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
