The St. Catharines Blue Jays rode a solid performance from 25-year-old starting pitcher Kareem Craig to a win, beating the Newark Flyers, 3-1, at Newark Fields. Chase Harriger earned the save for St. Catharines, his 2nd of the year. Newark falls to 9-8.

St. Catharines relied on the bat of Jose Espinoza to get the win. The shortstop produced a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 2-1. For the game, Espinoza had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Blue Jays manager Freddy Coss. "This one was nice to get."
