Led by Richard Ulmer, the Vancouver Mounties defeated the Chicago Gangsters, 8-5. Ulmer slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Mounties. Kyle Rodriguez, who finished 4th in the NC in wins with 16 in 2014, nailed down the save. The Gangsters fall to 13-18 and continue their uneven start to the 2022 season.

Brian Massey had a big 2-run home run for the Mounties in the bottom of the third inning. With Vancouver trailing 3-2 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Butch Saulters and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Mounties on top, 4-3.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Ulmer.
