Fremont Gets 7-6 Win
|
Good production from left fielder Jeremy Brunetti helped the Fremont Ambassadors topple the Kansas City Dust Devils, 7-6. Brunetti went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 for the Ambassadors. Eric Esposito earned the win for Fremont. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 4-1. The loss lowers the Kansas City record to 7-10.
Fremont used the timely hitting of Francisco O'Brien to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Ambassadors on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Brunetti said after the game.
