Dust Devils Dealt 3-1 Loss by Fremont
|
Fremont played host to Kansas City at Ballpark of Fremont.
Jim Unknown, despite pitching a good game, was disappointed in the outcome: a tough, 3-1, defeat for the Kansas City Dust Devils at the hands of the Fremont Ambassadors at Ballpark of Fremont. Fremont reliever Tony Hendrix was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Jim Unknown. Jerrod Notaro was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
The Ambassadors got a big at-bat from center fielder Chris Guardiola. For the game, Guardiola was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Fremont a 2-0 lead.
Guardiola attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
