Stallions Net 8-1 Win Over Cannonballers
|
San Antonio Stallions starter Willie Trevino had all his pitches working at Cannonballers Ballpark. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 San Antonio win over the Cottage City Cannonballers. The winning pitcher was Trevino, now 1-1. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. With the win, San Antonio is 8-5.
San Antonio used the bat of Pete Lemish to get the win. The right fielder spanked a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Stallions ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it altered the outcome.
"Whenever I help the team," said Lemish, "it sort of justifies my place on the roster."
