Desperados Tag Blue Jays with 10-2 Loss
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 22-year old center fielder Rich Tangorra, the Santa Rosa Desperados stopped the St. Catharines Blue Jays, 10-2. Santa Rosa, now 6-2, is setting the league on fire so far.

Mike McGrew had a big grand slam home run for the Desperados in the top of the eighth inning. With Santa Rosa leading 5-2 and the bases loaded, he sized up a curveball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Michael Klee and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Desperados on top, 9-2.

Tangorra told a Santa Rosa Daily reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
