Thanks in large part to designated hitter Kyle Braden, the Santa Rosa Desperados beat the Kansas City Dust Devils, 9-2. Braden was 2-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Santa Rosa, now 9-2, is setting the league on fire so far.

Leo Cortez drove in one run for Santa Rosa. The 23-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Armando Tamayo. It was his 6th RBI of the season.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Braden told the Santa Rosa Observer.
