Miners Pull Off Thrilling 1-0 Win in Extras
The Miners earned a hard-fought, 1-0 win in 11 innings at Ballpark of Austin. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Huntsville pitcher Jimmy Redmond. Redmond went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs. The loss lowers the Huntsville record to 5-5.

Glace Bay needed the clutch hitting of Michael Soria to notch the win. The first baseman hammered a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Miners on top, 1-0. For the game, Soria had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

In postgame comments, Soria said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
