Rittenberry slugs 2 home runs, Leads Rockets to Win
|
Rockets designated hitter Curtis Rittenberry left his imprint on his team's 5-3 win over the Glace Bay Miners. Rittenberry slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for Huntsville in the contest. Mike Redmond finished the game for Huntsville and earned his 3rd save. With the loss, Glace Bay is 4-5.
Rittenberry had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-2 cutter from Jesse Eichhorn, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Rockets a 5-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Rittenberry.
Huntsville manager Tim Hodgson called it "a darn good win."
