Noland, Flyers Get 3-2 Win
|
Newark starter Adam Noland pitched well against the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks at Jet Hawks Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. Dustin Miller earned his 2nd save, after closing out the game. Newark goes to 2-0.
The Jet Hawks had little chance against Noland, who overpowered Grand Rapids hitters and struck out 10.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Sadayuki Nishikawa.
