The Tampa Capitals overcame a good performance by St. Catharines third baseman Angel Lujan to knock off St. Catharines, 5-4, at Capitals Ballpark. Lujan went 1 for 1 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Gabe Thomas was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Jay Yeiser. The win has Tampa at 2-2.

The decisive blow was delivered by Zach Amos in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 2-run home run off 24-year old left-handed pitcher Jay Yeiser to win the game for Tampa. The home crowd went nuts.
