The Grand Rapids Jet Hawks got a magnificent performance from pitcher Jonathan Lamas, who muffled the Huntsville offense en route to a tight, 3-1 Jet Hawks win at Jet Hawks Ballpark. With the win, Grand Rapids improves its record to 2-0.

Grand Rapids took a 2-0 lead on Jake Kipfer's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which Kipfer hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Huntsville pitcher Bohdan Kasatkin visibly frustrated.

"Whenever I help the team," said Lamas, "it sort of justifies my place on the roster."
