Capitals Prevail, 5-3, Over Fremont
|
Tampa registered a win at Capitals Ballpark by beating the Fremont Ambassadors, 5-3. Pitcher Scott Reynolds was one reason why the Capitals triumphed. Reynolds, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 9, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. At 2-1, the Capitals have played well so far.
The Capitals got a big at-bat from designated hitter Danny Pinto. For the game, Pinto was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Tampa a 3-1 lead.
