The home crowd had a good time watching the Huntsville Rockets and Glace Bay Miners get after it.

Glace Bay turned a good effort from starter Brent LaGesse into a win over the Huntsville Rockets at Miners Memorial Bowl. The final score was 6-1. Glace Bay goes to 2-1.

Alfonso Estrada had a big bases-clearing double for the Miners in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Glace Bay leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 20-year old left-handed pitcher Adam Williams and swatted a double to center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Miners ahead, 5-1.

In postgame comments to the Glace Bay Today, LaGesse said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
