The home team gave the crowd some walk-off drama.

Despite a great performance by St. Catharines second baseman Tom Modell, the Deltaville Deltas defeated the Blue Jays by the score of 5-4 at Rogers Centre. Modell was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Deltaville reliever Jim Unknown picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Andy Mahoney absorbed the loss.

Jonathan Avenell played the role of hero for Deltaville. In the bottom of the ninth, he launched a solo home run off Andy Mahoney to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was the decisive blow.

"That was high adrenalin and it was fun," Avenell said.
