Wildthings Get Clutch Win Versus Riverside
|
The home team gave their fans plenty to cheer about, with a thrilling walk-off win.
The Washington Wildthings had to overcome a fine effort from Riverside pitcher Chris Lowe to win, 4-3, at Red Barons Ballpark. Lowe went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Washington, with the win, sits at 30-110.
Washington got a knockout punch from Evan Anderson. The pinch hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
Anderson told a Washington Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
