Downward Spiral Continues for Washington
The Riverside Rotters downed the Washington Wildthings, 4-2. The hitting star was first baseman Mark David. David went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Rotters. Ben Foster collected his 27th save. Washington is in the throes of a losing streak which has reached 12 games.

In the bottom of the third, David had a 2-run home run for Riverside. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Rotters on top, 3-1.

After the game, Riverside manager Adrian Mercado applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
