Rivera goes 4-for-4 as Dread Kings Squeeze Past Alcoa
In a close game at Alcoa Grounds, the Boise Dread Kings edged the Alcoa Millionaires, 5-4. Boise designated hitter Raul Rivera stood apart with his performance. He was 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs. Boise pitcher Jack Hall got the win, upping his record to 5-4. John Holcombe got the loss. The win gives Boise a season record of 74-61.

Rivera had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-1 fastball from John Holcombe, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Dread Kings a 5-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Rivera.

Boise manager Roberto Flores commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
