Traverse City Gets 7-6 Win Against Dread Kings
Bears left fielder Paul Watson left his mark on his team's 7-6 win over the Boise Dread Kings. Watson, who is rated as the 10th best prospect by BNN, went 2-5 with a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for Traverse City in the contest. The win went to Emilio Ampuero in relief, making him now 5-0. Chris Robles took the loss for Boise. Alex de Jesus earned the save, his 21st in 25 tries.

Had Jonathan Grant not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Grant hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Bears.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Watson.

The third-place Bears have a record of 51-78.
